The core frame is typically aluminium-alloy or aluminium profile combined with steel reinforcements. This offers lighter weight and corrosion resistance compared to all-steel beds.
Side rails (collapsible/foldable) made of aluminium or aluminium alloy for ease of operation and reduced weight.
Head and foot boards might be ABS plastic panels with metal inserts rather than pure aluminium (for safety, cost and aesthetics).
The bed platform/top will be sectional (for backrest, knee/leg rest) and supported by perforated sheet or mesh (for hygiene and ventilation).
